Building Brighter Futures with Boyte

Together, we can create an environment where students can look back on their school years with pride, cherishing the memories and the education they received.

Responsibilities

I see the board’s key responsibilities as setting policies aligned with our community’s values, managing the district’s budget effectively, and ensuring high academic standards. My role is to advocate for students and teachers, providing them with the necessary resources for quality education. Maintaining open communication with parents and the community is essential. Collaborating with fellow board members, I contribute to decisions that benefit our educational system. Overseeing the hiring and evaluation of the superintendent is also vital for strong school leadership. Balancing students’ educational needs with fiscal responsibilities, my focus is on preparing them for future success.

Experience and Skills to Help

My professional journey has given me unique insights into creating safe learning environments for our students. As CEO of Active Defender and a campus safety conference speaker, I’m committed to ensuring a secure and quality education for our students. As a father of three graduates from Sandhills Community College, I deeply understand our local education system. My pastoral role has also honed my skills in empathetic communication and community involvement. This mix of expertise and my dedication to student well-being positions me uniquely for the Moore County School Board. My goal is for every student to excel academically and confidently declare themselves as Moore County graduates.

Mission Critical

Teacher Satisfaction

To assess teacher satisfaction, I would implement regular, anonymous surveys focusing on work environment, support, resources, and professional growth opportunities. Additionally, open forums and direct communication channels for teachers to voice concerns and suggestions would be crucial. To promote professional development, I advocate for dedicated funding for ongoing training programs, workshops, and conferences. We can also establish mentorship programs and collaborative learning communities within schools to enhance professional growth. Engaging with teachers to understand their needs and preferences is key to developing effective professional development strategies.
